ENG VS PAK T20: Sarfaraz will be Pak
captain, Afridi out, Root in England, Wood's return
Karachi / London: The Pakistani team's selectors, who have
been severely beaten in the ODI series, have now handed the team's command to
wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed for the Twenty20 series, while the England
team, PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE TEAMS 2018 Stokes and Mark Wood have returned.
Afridi is involved in injury
The only T20 of the series will be played on September 7 in
Manchester. Pak has declared a 13-member team. Sarfraz was appointed captain of
the T20 team instead of Shahid Afridi in April this year. Afridi had left the
captaincy after the World Twenty20 championship in India. Afridi has not been
included in the team due to knee injury. Chairman of the selection committee
and former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq announced the team with advice in
consultation with other selectors in Lahore.
5 returns to England
The route, Alex Hales and Moin Ali were rested in the T20
match played against Sri Lanka, while Stokes and Wood have returned after
recovering from injury. Stokes did not play any match in this format after the
World T20 Final. In the World T20 final, Carlos Brathwaite of the West Indies
gave victory to the West Indies by chipping six fours in his last four balls.
The players who have been dropped include Liam Dasen, Jonny Bairstow, David Malan
and James Wense.

England: Eoin Morgan (captain), Moin Ali, Sam Billings, Jos
Buttler, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Timmal Mills, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid,
Joe Root, Jason Rai, Ben Stokes, David Wiley and Mark Wood.
Pakistan: Sarfraz Ahmed (Captain), Khalid Latif, Shirjeel
Khan, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim,
Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Aamir, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Tanvir and Imad Butt.
